Update 1 for the Final Version of We Used To Be Friends
I guess I should be using this as a way to let all the people know who picked up a copy of the Ashcan about what's coming down for the final version of the game. I've been looking at three key areas.
1. How to restructure the book to make it more usable
2. How to make the game better, in both safety and in problematic issues that show up in noir games.
3. How to expand the game with new casefiles and new ideas.
I've finished Chapter 1, which adds what is at heart a "white paper" with safety tools in mind. It references tools that I use, and are aware of, including Quinn Murphy's Rights of Play and The TTRPG Safety Toolkit by Kienna Shaw and Lauren Bryant-Monk.
I've also consolidated the Principles of the game in this section, because I do think that you can tell a lot from a PbtA game from what's listed in the principles section and it's good to have it right there in the open first thing.
Now onto the second section which will talk about the stats, basic moves, friendship moves, and future and impact moves which sounds like a lot of moves but it's not really a huge thing.
